Have you ever tried to count a handful of leaves while the wind is blowing them around? Not easy. The same idea applies to your thoughts. Organizing your thoughts while in your mind can be a very frustrating experience.
An idea floating around in the air is something for anyone to grasp but when you put it on paper, you’re able to touch it and take the steps to make it happen. In a way, you make it real. When you leave it for later, other thoughts get in the way and make it close to impossible to stay true to what you originally thought.
How about when you’re thinking about how your life could be different, what’s missing and how to go about living that life? Having something you can actually feel and touch makes it real which leads me to the main topic of vision boards and how they’re so powerful. Why do I say they’re powerful? Simply because they represent your thoughts, your real thoughts about what you’d love to attract into your life. Your visions, the language your body understands. You make it real for these things to happen!
By tapping into your true self and seeing whether what you want to attract is truly in line with the well-being of yourself and others takes work. We can wish good onto others but we have no control over them or their own visions. This is about you and you alone. We may envision a loved one loving their job and making a 360 lifestyle change but, unless they also envision the same thing for themselves, it’s only well-wishes.
Be true to yourself, what do you really want. Answer this question truthfully. Cut out some images from a magazine and paste them on a board or, if you’d rather, create your board online. Is this a vision board for the year, 5 years, lifetime? Don’t worry about how to go about making these visions a reality, just worry about putting it on paper. Leave the stress out of it and you’ll begin to notice things shifting.
Write it down, envision it, live it!
